COMPANY PROFILE

In 2006, Asclepius was a clinic and drug store manned by doctor spouses. It sought to be a medical and paramedical care partnership that ensures the highest standard of medical and paramedical care practices committed to preserving, protecting, promoting, and enhancing the health, wellness, and safety of workers while preserving the clinical environment of care to our patients, staff, and individuals.  

Its mission was to be a medical and paramedical care provider, ASCLEPIUS Drugstore Medical Laboratories and Allied Services, Company became ASCLEPIUS DRUGSTORE MED. LAB AND ALLIED SERVICES CORP on October 12, 2017. It continuously work in providing our patients and patrons with globally competitive quality and excellent medical care services; technology-driven training, innovations, and research through highly proficient health care professionals utilizing best quality technologies; and to be of service to God and mankind.  

Asclepius Drugstore Med. Lab and Allied Services Corp. prides itself on its core values of commitment, excellence, and services.  

The husband-and-wife tandem are both internationally trained physicians with impressive curriculum vitae in both their respective fields.

Later, the company grew from being just a drugstore, clinic, X-ray, and medical laboratory provider to a partnership that includes the best practitioners in the field. All of them have impressive resumes and international training and affiliations, and continuing studies and fellowships in their respective fields.  

The company has secured compliance with governmental mandates and requirements to ensure the highest quality and standards of professional excellence.  

Other than the corporate medical services they provide, the company is active in its corporate social responsibility. They have conducted numerous charitable medical missions to many communities as a way of giving back to the community.  

The company is also serious about advancing medical research and development and has partnered with and supported many studies internationally through Japanese for Dystonia projects and locally by doing local research.  

They believe in continuous upgrading of capabilities and this is evidenced by the investment in the latest technological advancements in medical equipment and machines.  

To achieve a life-work balance, they have also sponsored lifestyle, fitness, team building, and other R and R activities for the partners and staff.

Diagnostic Services Offered

To aid in our diagnosis of our pulmonary patients, we have spirometry or otherwise known as the pulmonary function test that measures how well your lungs work. This includes how well you’re able to breathe and effectively your lungs can bring oxygen to the rest of your body. This could monitor the course of chronic lung diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive lung disease as well as could assess your lungs before you have surgery.

For patients with snoring and with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), the best way to diagnose it is by using a portable RESMED sleep monitoring test that can be done in your home at your most convenient time or in a hotel.  The most effective treatment to treat such a condition is by using a CPAP machine or a continuous positive airway pressure machine which is also available at affordable prices. We are collaborating with Respiratory Therapist without borders (RTWB), Canadian based non-profit organization, that aims to help our indigent patients in need of the CPAP which is considered “a lifesaver”.

We believe that sleep deprivation continues to be one of the causes of death in this day and this era that could be helped by offering these gadgets.

The addition of TB LAMP (loop-mediated isothermal amplification) in our diagnostic laboratory is a dream come true. It’s a manual assay that requires less than one hour to perform and can be read under ultraviolet light. WHO recommends that it’s a replacement for sputum microscopy for the diagnosis of pulmonary TB in adults with signs and symptoms of TB with moderate sensitivity (77%) and high specificity (98%) when using the most stringent culture-based reference standard.

Electromyography and Nerve conduction studies are tests that measure the electrical activity of the muscles and nerves. Nerves send out electrical signals to make your muscles react in certain ways. As your muscles react, they give off these signals which can then be measured.  These tests can both help find out if you have a disorder of your muscle, nerves, or both.

As we started last March and April 2020, we experienced our “cruelest months”. We have our lowest sales in terms of clients, admissions, and no transportation thus we are facing one of our darkest periods due to lockdowns everywhere. COVID-19 is causing a tragic loss of life, and the measures needed to fight it have turned our world upside down- affecting billions of people and stopping economies in their tracks.

For the Asclepius Company, we have formulated a new policy recommendations and strict implementation of guidelines. Because we need first to protect our lives, second, we need to protect our livelihood and third, we should plan for recovery.

Since Our Core values include better Service to our clients, thus we are committed to continue doing our best to strive for excellent care through consistent training with new technologies and continuous medical updates. In this time of crisis, we must remember that this too shall pass, we will get through this through our cooperation and by being considerate of one another. This will take time and we would like to thank everyone for being with us through difficult times we will surpass these trials.

GOALS

Conduct examination and comply with the standard requirements set by the Bureau of Health facilities and services, which is the monitoring tool of the Department of Health and by other regulatory agencies; Actively participate in the formulation of standards, policies, and procedures for better clinical programs for clients and/or patients, and for continual improvement of the laboratory. Serves as a coordinator of patient follow-up and referral to other health-related disciplines and resources for patients requiring additional needs.
